The teledrama ‘Bharyawo’ (Wives), to be produced by Sudharma Nettikumara, is on a concept by Shashi Weerawansa, the wife of NFF leader and minister Wimal Weerawansa.
The Muhurath festival for the teledrama took place at Hotel Intercontinental in Colombo According to the producer, the teledrama aims to transform society’s attitude towards women.
The cast includes Jeevan Kumaratunga, Sabeetha Perera, Dilhani Ekanayake, Lucky Dias, Duleeka Marapana, Buddhadasa Vitanachchi, Nimanthi Porage and Kumara Thirimadura. ‘Bharyavo’ will be directed by Sarnga Mendis and music is by Nawaratne Gamage.
